I am Michele Kent, owner of Wight Canine Therapy, based on the Isle of Wight and treat dogs Islandwide.
I am a registered Galen Myotherapist with a Level 3 Diploma in Galen Myotherapy. I have also completed additional training in Canine First Aid, Gait & Lameness, Canine Anxiety, Canine Psychology, and Animal Reiki, giving me a wider understanding of both canine rehabilitation and behavioural wellbeing.
I have always wanted to work with dogs, so discovering Galen Myotherapy felt like I had finally found where I belonged. The Positive PACT philosophy perfectly reflects my own approach of putting the dog first, allowing them choice and autonomy while supporting both their physical comfort and emotional wellbeing.
I have a particular passion for Romanian rescue dogs. Through living with my own six rescue dogs and volunteering with a Romanian rescue charity, where I advise new adopters, I have developed a deeper understanding of the unique challenges these dogs can face. Helping them adjust to a new life, build confidence, and learn to trust is something I find incredibly rewarding.
My aim is always to help dogs become more comfortable, move more freely, and enjoy a better quality of life, while ensuring every treatment is carried out with kindness, patience, and respect for the individual dog.
