Louise Jones

I am Louise Jones, and I am the owner of Pawsitive Fitness, covering all things canine health, fitness, and wellness. I am currently treating dogs in Dublin, Ireland and surrounding areas. I completed my Diploma in Galen Myotherapy in 2023 and am also registered with the IAAT (International Association of Animal Therapists).

Having been a dog lover all my life, I started out as a canine behaviourist and trainer, but it was my love of cani-sports that made me realise that my passion lay in canine health, fitness, and conditioning, rather than training.

After meeting fellow Galen Myotherapist, Cushla Lamen, at numerous cani-sports events, I heard about Galen Myotherapy.

When my 10 year old Siberian Husky, Alpha, was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy, I signed up for Galen’s Distance Support Programme and got a detailed plan from Julia Robertson, founder of Galen Myotherapy, showing me many ways in which I could help to enrich her life, help with compensatory issues from her condition, and keep her mobile and comfortable for as long as possible.

Galen’s Positive PACT protocol stands in line with everything that I had previously practiced as a canine behaviourist and trainer, meaning that the dog will never be coerced or restrained in order to receive treatment.
I currently own three dogs, Dyson, Lady, and Mazikeen. Lady and Mazikeen currently compete at a high level in cani-sports, and they receive regular myotherapy treatments to help keep them mobile and healthy. Dyson is 11 years old and has arthritis and spondylosis, so myotherapy treatments play a huge part in his life. These have kept him mobile, helped with his pain management, and allow him to have a good quality of life, hopefully for many years to come.

I am currently offering home visits for Galen Myotherapy in Dublin and surrounding areas, treating everything from sport and performance dogs to elderly dogs, dogs with pre-existing conditions, and everything in between.
