My Galen journey started when one of my own Labradors Snowy was diagnosed with Osteochondritis (OCD) and DJD (Degenerative Joint Disorder). I wanted to look at a conservative approach to managing the condition, I researched many different avenues, I then found Galen Myotherapy and Julia Robertson. From here I embarked on my journey with Galen doing a Canine Anatomy and Physiology Course then to the well-respected Galen Myotherapy Diploma. This is where the idea for Snowy’s Canine Therapy Centre started and has become a true and real passion of mine not only to help my own very special girl but to help other pets to enjoy a better, longer and more pain-free life.
At Snowy’s I can provide Galen Myotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Laser Therapy and Indiba ® I have a special quiet treatment room for the massage, LASER and Indiba ® a large hydrotherapy pool and treadmill.
I treat a vast array of different conditions, temperaments, ages from young to old. My passion lies with the family companion dog and those with “quirky” characters, always giving the dog a ‘choice’ and looking at the specific behaviour patterns that maybe reflected in muscle pain and changes to the dog’s behaviour. Due to my love of competition and outdoor life I also treat the performance dogs, from many different types of canine activities, from Gun Dogs, Agility, Canine Athletics to Show Dogs. Love them all.
