I have always been involved in the dog world, more or less, but my professional career started in the behavioral management field. All in all, I had a feeling that, though it's great and engaging, it's not the thing I want to dedicate my life to. I was interested in too many things and struggled to collect my brain together and concentrate. Quite soon I got much into a holistic approach and redirected much of my time into studying nutrition and health stuff, including physical development, which in those times wasn't really fitting in my ethics. Hopefully, I was lucky enough to get a piece of advice from Turid Rugaas to look up Galen Myotherapy, which I honestly never heard about before. And that was quite a great match!
Not long after, I got my personal physical recovery case, which until now has been my best practice and best result. A Stafford puppy, Viuga, who was bitten right after birth by the mother dog, had a completely deformed pelvic limb. I have no idea in which ways I would recover her if I wasn't studying at Galen, and quite soon we got great results with the pup. It was the best demonstration of how Myotherapy actually works that I could wish for! Now, the pup is a functional adult dog. Unfortunately, the deformation is irreversible, but she lives a full dog life.
Viuga is the reason I got sort of really deep into holistic care stuff and stepped away from behavioral management. I am much more keen on physical work and promoting better natural care for dogs. I blog on those topics on Instagram and keep going to several online courses for dog owners and trainers. But Viuga is also the reason I am absolutely crazy about bull-type breeds, and for now, they surround me everywhere. In 2021 my own Stafford kennel, Svargsaga, was registered at FCI. I see many great opportunities in focusing on working with other breeders and more in-depth and responsible preparation of future families for my puppies, so they could go on with proper physical development from the very beginning. And of course, the "how to build a puppy" is a must in every puppy box too :)
