Hi, my name is Bev and I’m a fully insured and qualified Galen Myotherapist. I am also DBS checked and have a Canine First Aid certificate.

I grew up with dogs and we have always had them as part of our family. All of our dogs came to us from rescue centres so have had their own individual issues to deal with, which led me to my search for  that would benefit them all. My search took me to Galen and Myotherapy, the training was in-depth and looks at the dog as a whole  taking into consideration their own individual personalities as well as their home  and their wider environmental needs. I  think it is very important for dog to have free choice during their treatment and this is the methodology police of Galen Myotherapy in the Positive PACT .

My role as a qualified occupational therapist has shown me the importance of understanding how the home environment impacts on individuals functioning. By implementing small lifestyle changes and introducing functional movement into activities the dogs environment can be used along with Galen Myotherapy massage techniques to impact positively on their quality of life and welfare.

Galen Myotherapy can be beneficial in a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, including pain relief for conditions such as osteoarthritis, and can provide healing benefits following injury or surgery. Before I treat your dog I will require vet consent and regular vet reports will be sent to your vet.

Galen Myotherapy has provided both physical and mental health benefits to our dogs. As I enjoy working with people and their dogs my aim now is to benefit not only our own dogs, but to reach out and share my knowledge with other dog owners and help them to enrich their dogs lives.
