My name is Alex, and I live in Penley in North Wales, close the Shropshire and Cheshire boarders. I share my life with my husband Scott, my two dogs, Oscar and Fizz, and my two horses, Reilly and Dylan. I was inspired to become a Galen Myotherapist after my elderly Patterdale Terrier, Lucky, began showing minor signs that was struggling with her mobility, and I wanted an effective alternative to long term pain relief drugs. Lucky was an incredibly sharp, active and powerful little dog. Slowing down wasn’t an option for her; she was far too busy! My horse Reilly had received chiropractic and Equine Sports Massage therapy regularly as part of his routine, which led me to explore treatment options for dogs. Sadly, Lucky passed away whilst I was still studying for my qualification. She was 18 years old, and was busy and ‘chatty’ until the day she left us. This gave me further motivation to complete my studies, so that I could help other people’s Lucky’s.
I really enjoy treating middle aged and senior dogs, helping them to maintain optimum mobility, so they can continue to enjoy active lifestyles comfortably into and throughout their later years. My training with Galen enables me to treat and support through touch, natural movement, and a mutual respect for the dogs I treat.
I am willing to travel within 10 miles of Penley and Wrexham, travel costs apply outside this area. I am fully insured and require veterinary consent before treatment can commence.
