Online CPD for Dog Trainers & Behaviourists
Are you a dog behavourist or trainer who would like to enhance their knowledge by being able to identify and connect physical causes with underlying issues and behaviours? This course will teach you to critically examine a dog’s posture, which will help you to equate a dog’s behaviour or lack of physical motivation.
We have developed a unique Galen Myotherapy course which will help you to:
identify muscular dysfunction and how this could impact on a dog’s comfort and subsequent behaviour
Understand what muscle domination means and why it is important to be able to recognise this from a total health perspective.
Identify muscle asymmetry in dogs, which is often wrongly assessed, leading to confusion and frustration in dogs, guardians and trainers
understand the vital role of fascia and the part it plays within a dog’s physical and mental health
As a dog professional, aid better fascial connections by integrating functional movement within your programmes that will positively act on a dog’s posture
Assess a dog’s lifestyle and environment and making subtle changes can be profound to a dog’s well-being
We will be taking an in-depth look at examples of postural and muscular dysfunction, including some of the dogs you are working with. We will be critically assessing how aspects of their posture and loading can offer you an invaluable insight into their physical and psychological health.
By incorporating the Galen Comfort Scale into your assessment and ongoing programme, you will be able to measure any changes. Enabling you to calculate and share your success with your client, as well as being a further marketing opportunity to future clients.
Testimonial
Many thanks to Julia and Cushla for delivering such a brilliant CPD! Both Julia and Cushla’s obvious passion for dogs and openness in sharing their wealth of knowledge and experience made for engaging lectures and rewarding practical sessions. Galen Myotherapy has shown me a new way to approach assessment and treatment, consider functional movement and fascia, and many of my patients are benefitting from having implemented PositivePact.
