Our Foundation course is a great starting point for dog owners and handlers who are looking to gain an understanding of their dog’s movement and functional anatomy, and to learn some skills which will help to improve their dog’s health using the principles of Galen Myotherapy. This unique online course is packed with information in a fun learning environment. It’s ideal for anyone who is interested in gaining an understanding of their dog’s habits and behaviours, and how this relates to their dog’s comfort.
Through Galen’s many years of research and treatment of thousands of dogs, we have found many indicators which can be directly associated with muscle discomfort and also pain. The link between a dog's habits and comfort level is absolutely fascinating and is something that Galen has been talking about for over a decade.
This course will teach you about muscle pain from a dog’s perspective and how simple environmental and activity changes can make a positive impact on your own dog’s health.
During the course you will also be given the tools to apply two practical massage techniques which you can apply to your dog to enhance their wellbeing.
