Practical Terms and Conditions 

Galen Training Therapy Centre Ltd offer to provide the Canine Myotherapy Diploma Practical Course (as described in this Booking Form) to the student on the following terms.

Definitions

“Course” means the Canine Myotherapy Diploma Practical Course provided by the Provider to the student at the Venue, in return for the Course Fee;

“Course Dates” means as stated on the first page.

 “Course Fee” means the total sum of the course payable by the student to the Provider; made payable to Galen Therapy Training Centre Ltd before the start of the Practical

“Venue” Galen Therapy Centre, The Paddocks, London Road, Bolney RH17 5PY

The Practical Sessions

1. The Provider will use reasonable skill and care in the provision of the Course.

2. The course will only go ahead based on a minimum number of four students attending. In the case of less than this then the course dates will be subject to change

3. The Provider does not make any commitment to the student that the content of the Course will meet any specific requirements that the student may have.  

4. The Provider expects the student to take reasonable steps to verify that the Course will meet their requirements.  

5. The Provider does not make any commitment to the student that the student will obtain any particular results from the receipt of the Course.

6. The Provider will supply the student with refreshments during the Course. Lunches and food are the responsibility of the student

7. The Course will commence at 9.00 am and will finish between 4-5.00 pm at the Venue. 

8. The Provider reserves the right to refuse the student attendance on the course subject to consultation and agreement with the Internal Quality Assessment Board.

9. The Provider may ask for the student to provide a Criminal Records Board (CRB) check.  This must be provided by the student at their own cost.

10. In order to attend the student must have completed and achieved up to and including Unit 4 (Full course and Direct Access). 

11. The student will have 12 months to complete the course in full, from the date they finish their practical training. 

12. The student must NOT bring their own dog, dogs will be supplied for training

 

Payment

Any remaining sum of the Total Course Fee is payable by the student to the Provider no later than 10 days prior to the first Practical Course Date

All Course Fees are payable to “Galen Therapy Centre Training”.

Cancellation

In the event that the student cancels their practical place 14 days prior or less  before the start date or does not attend the course, they will be subject to a cancellation fee of £250.00 and an alternative date will be offered at the absolute discretion of the Provider.

If a Practical Course is cancelled by the Provider an alternative Practical Course Date will be offered to the student at the absolute discretion of the Provider.

The Provider may cancel the Practical Course at any time up to 7 days prior to the Course Date.

 

Liability
The Provider shall not be responsible to the student in the event that the Course cannot be provided due to an event beyond the Provider’s reasonable control, which include (but is not limited to) events such as fire, flood, storm, strikes or other industrial action, failure of telecommunication services, war, riot or the actions of any government or public body, government guidelines around coronavirus pandemic or similar.  In the event that the Provider is prevented from running the Course by such an event, the Provider will take all reasonable steps to try and provide the Course to the student as soon as is reasonably practicable.

The Provider makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy or effectiveness of the Course and the student acknowledges this.

The Provider shall have no liability whatsoever with respect to the appropriateness or reliance upon the Course by the student.

​

The Provider shall have no liability whatsoever with respect to the appropriateness of the Course to the student in respect of their physical capability.

Whilst every effort is made to help and improve the well being of the student, the Provider shall have no liability for any accident or illness arising from the course, both during the practical sessions or case study work.

Health and Safety procedures are in place and it is the responsibility of the student to make themselves aware of these procedures following the event of a fire or accident involving either a dog or student.

Travel and Accommodation
We advise students to purchase the appropriate insurance cover for any travel or accommodation. All travel and accommodation costs and expenses are the responsibility of the student
 

Refunds
Please be aware that, outside of the statutory 14-day cancellation period, you are only entitled to a refund if Galen Therapy Centre Ltd cancel the course

Refunds are not available should you have a change in circumstances that makes continued attendance at the course difficult, or additional responsibilities that affect time commitment to study, and students should consider both their availability and commitments carefully at the time of booking with this in mind

Wherever possible, when we cancel, we will transfer you to another course of your choosing provided there are places available. If the cost of the course you have transferred to is less than your original payment you will be refunded the balance. If the new course fees are greater you will be asked to arrange payment accordingly

Please note that credit towards another course is valid for one calendar year after it is applied to the student’s account 

GENERAL PROVISIONS

This Booking Form contains all the terms agreed between the parties except for such variations as shall be agreed in writing by the parties.

This Booking Form shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

​

Galen Therapy Training Centre operates a non-discriminatory policy.
